Default why doesnt NCsoft make a better website?

Today I am wondering why NC soft has left there site so boring bland and empty for so many years with all the billions of dollars they make every year they out of use some money to hire some web designers and make more visually appealing sites for there customers.
right now you can go ahead and compare plaync.com with blizzard.com and ncsoft.com with blizzard.com
there is really no comparison there, NC soft generates a bigger revenue than blizzard and they don't wanna spare a penny for web designers?
sorry if i posted this in a wrong area i couldn't find any other forum to post this.
i really think NC soft can reel in more customers by giving a first impression through there websites.

Actually I am not to sure about that...

World of Warcraft has 10 million + subscribers, at $15 a month. So 150 million dollars per month?

Keep in mind that this is just one Blizzard game. Blizzard also has the Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo series.

Edit - Although I agree a new website would be nice.

since NCsoft has a wider array of games they must be making way more since lineage one and two generated over 20 million in one year.
plus with aion already released in some places it already has an extremely popular playerbase.

As toxage said Blizzard make ~150 million per MONTH from wow, therefore way more than 20 million in 1 YEAR

EDIT: just took a look plaync.com does look poor, however the European one looks great, in my opinion

Why are we talking about the website of NCSoft?
Why are we talking about the website of Blizzard?

Is there even a point of this thread?

Lineage 2 has 17 million players, and is the second best selling PC game of all time, after The Sims. NCSoft has money to burn. However, their website is perfectly fine.

EDIT: Lineage 2 source

Sims source

In my honest opinion, the WoW site looks much worse than the plaync.com website(when it's not broken. At the moment it looks as if it's broken in Firefox 2.).

I think plaync.com is better layed out. Blizzard.com from a first glance looks like it was made by a fan.

I'm not bias towards Blizzard, I just have this thing called personal taste.

Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne (Korean: 리니지 2) is a fantasy massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for the PC, and a prequel set 150 years before [2] Lineage. It has become very popular since its October 1, 2003 launch in South Korea, reporting 610,918 unique users during the month of March 2007. The game is Windows Vista compatible, but requires Administrator level access.

Since its global launch in 2003, Lineage II has been an unprecedented sales success, with more than 17 million players worldwide
I would rather put more faith in a press release than a wiki entry.

I don't think that contradicts the story I linked at all. My story says 17 million copies have been sold since 2003. Your story says 610,000 people were playing in March 2007. Both are possible.

Lineage 2 is far more popular in Asia, while WoW is more dominant in the US, but that doesn't change than NCSoft made binfuls of cash off of it - enough to flush money down the privy that was Tabula Rasa without going out of business.

What are you talking about? Neither site is broken in Firefox 2.

Also, the PlayNC site does look cleaner, more professional, but damn is it difficult to navigate and find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm not fond of the heavy Flash usage of the WoW site, but it's really easy to use.

I highly doubt Lineage 2 has 17 million players.

There's a difference between 'current' and 'all-time' players.
